 YOU STOLE THE SHOW!!
Dear Jim and Patti:

What can I say? You stole the show. This was, hands down, the best Charter Evaluation I received from all my holiday charter guests. It came from Christine, totally unsolicited. That is, I never even sent her a Welcome Home letter with Questionnaire. She wanted to tell me right away what a fabulous time they had with you.

Thank you so much for taking such excellent care of these folks. You made the entire experience memorable for young and old alike, and that’s a feat. I know you worked tirelessly to make them happy, and I appreciate all your efforts.

I am going to take advantage of Christine’s offer to share her Evaluation. I have such a hard time convincing people that catamarans are no more comfortable than a monohull. Her comments (and your treatment of these folks) will be a tremendous help in so many ways. I truly hope to have more changers for you, and soon!

So! I have a couple of questions for you. Where did you spend New Year’s? Where did you find the bioluminescence, or is that a secret J? I assume you weren’t in Vieques.

Thank you both again. I would be happy to talk to any Brokers/clients who may be sitting on the fence about FLAMBOYANCE!

Happy New Year!
Sherry
What a fantastic time we had on our trip!!
Just wanted to let you know what a fantastic time we had on our trip over New Year’s with Flamboyance. Jim and Patti were the best! A lot of love and care has gone into that boat and it was obvious from the well maintained cabins and heads to comfortable cockpit with outdoor dining and late night lighting to the cushy deck for tanning.

Patti’s cooking was top notch. She truly went the extra mile giving extra attention to all of the likes and dislikes of each individual and with two kids, let me tell you, there were a lot of dislikes stated upfront and she accommodated all of them! She was also fantastic with the kids. She let my 7 year old daughter play sous chef for most of the meals and let both kids rotate between deciding on and preparing desserts. She even encouraged my daughter to take a late night swim to see the bioluminescence in the water…a very memorable experience.

Captain Jim was great as well starting with the planning of our journey to accommodate New Year’s Eve in a location the kids could enjoy. He also put together a great treasure hunt for the kids and took the adults on some great dives. No matter what we wanted to do, he accommodated providing extra gear for hikes, making multiple trips in the dingy so we would not have to carry both hiking and scuba diving gear and making sure the nights were fun and entertaining.

I am sure booking Flamboyance with Captain Jim and Chef Patti is great for adults but they were really fantastic with families! We highly recommend them and hope we have an opportunity to enjoy the pleasure of such a wonderful trip with them again in the future! Please share this with your other customers as is appropriate. We are also available to answer any questions others may have.

Thanks a million,
The Kalvenes Family

Dear Broker,

I wanted to send you a brief letter of recommendation for Jim and Patti of the charter yacht Flamboyance.

Jim and Patti were fantastic hosts for our New Year’s ’08 – ’09 Charter on Flamboyance. From amending our pick-up location hours before the start of the charter and our drop-off location hours before the end of the charter, to delivering on an itinerary that put “a lot of miles under the keel,” they met every need and then some.

Our charter group included couples with vastly different sailing experience and BVI knowledge. I’d like to say that it should have made it easy to put together an itinerary since most of the group had bareboated in the BVIs, but we ended up challenging Jim with a long list of places we wanted to visit in our 1-week charter starting with spending Old Year’s Night on Jost Van Dyke. We also wanted to snorkel the caves and the Indians of Norman Island and the baths, spend a full day at Bitter End, make the trip to Anegada, and end at Marina Cay for Michael Bean’s Happy Arrrr! As someone that has put together a number of BVI sailing itineraries, this was a tall order and Jim didn’t miss one place.

Not only did Jim get us to all of these great places in one week, Patti somehow managed to cook full breakfasts, lunches, and dinners on each day. The meals were fantastic ranging from, stuffed French toast to eggs benedict for breakfast; steak fajitas to cheeseburgers in paradise for lunch, and grilled salmon with fresh mango to bacon wrapped filet mignon for dinner. Patti even went so far as to prepare a fresh-baked cheesecake on board! The meals and desserts that she was able to prepare on a three-burner propane stove and small oven were simply impressive.

Jim and Patti were able to bring together eight people’s various desires and put together a dream vacation for the group. Jim brought us to beautiful and isolated anchorages that I have just sailed by year after year on a bareboat and Patti’s efforts in the galley have truly raised the culinary standards for onboard cooking. We were truly spoiled for a week in a well-kept boat with a great crew.

Sincerely,
