Captain Kristofer Burton, or Captain Tofer as he prefers to be called, lives aboard his own Stevens 41 (Wandering Dolphin) with his wife Rebecca (who also helps with onshore support) and four of their five children, ages 8 to 18, who they home school. Tofer is coast guard licensed captain, who has been transiting boats long distances since 2004. This will be his third season on Sweetest Thing – always captain and sometimes chef. This year, we decided his considerable skills as chef deserved more exposure, so Captain Tofer will also be preparing your meals. He has assisted two great award winning chefs the last two seasons- Robert Thunder and Ian Finn. This year, he will exercise what he has learned from the masters who have delighted our guests so completely.
Tofer’s stories will amaze you, his sailing expertise will give you confidence, and his broad smile, assertive voice and culinary delights will make your charter vacation the best you have ever had. We know you will love the result.
EmilyAnne Burton is Captain’s oldest daughter and Hostess aboard Sweetest Thing, acting as crew, serving guests, keeping Sweetest Thing crisp and clean, sailing when Captain is in the galley, running our new 70 hp tender and serving guests to be certain your time onboard is exceptional. EmilyAnne has logged over 25,000 miles sailing offshore in a variety of boats. She is dive certified and she loves to snorkel with the guests showing them her world. Her knowledge of fish and underwater life will amaze you. The ocean has been her home for most of her life, and she is planning her career on the water. |
