Exbury II
EXBURY'S OWNER -OPERATORS: Albert and Josy met each other during their college years in Belgium and got
married in 1972. Albert chartered a sailboat on the French Atlantic coast for
their honeymoon to introduce Josy to sailing. Shortly after, with family
borrowed money, they bought the shares of a packaging company and worked as CEO
and CFO for ten years. A little bored by the sedentary life of the business,
they sold their shares and home, bought a sailing boat and went cruising. They sailed the north sea and the Mediterranean sea, then together sailed
across the Atlantic Ocean from Africa to Brazil then, up thru the Caribbean and
the Bahamas to Florida. They also explored some of the South Pacific Islands. In 1985 they started chartering and were in charge of various charter yachts
between Martinique and Grenada. In 1992, with the first EXBURY, they relocated
in the Virgin Islands and St Martin area. The two of them combine over 100,000 sea miles of experience in various conditions
and over 200 weeks of successful charters. This couple has a good knowledge of what a perfect service is and is well
known in the industry to deliver it each time. Both have an eye for details and a talent to help their guests to unwind and
relax. Josy's passion is nutrition and she will adapt menus according to the guests
dietary needs. Her long list of recipes has guest's mouths salivating from one
meal to the other. Albert's passions are yachting and sailing and he loves to share his
knowledge of boats and sailing with beginners or experienced sailors. Much of their business is repeats. One couple came five years in a row and
many have come two or three times already. Honeymoons and anniversaries charters are their specialty but they also love
to introduce guests to all aspects of "live aboard full time" and to
provide informal teaching of sailing skills. You put this crew on a beautiful Modern Classic Yacht like EXBURY II and you
are sure to have a winning team. |
