The trip was fantastic!  Everyone is looking forward to doing it again next year.

Did you find the crew friendly and accommodating? Please comment.

There could not have been a better fit for our group.  We truly enjoyed them as one of the group.

Was the yacht clean, well-maintained and comfortable for your group?

It was in impeccable shape and and the accommodations were just great.

How would you describe the quality of meals served on board?

Absolute gourmet for everything.  We were simply overwhelmed with the quality of everything.

If you personally arranged your charter, how did you find the services offered by

[broker]?

[Broker] was fantastic through out the full procedure.  She was always respondent and extremely helpful.

Would you be interested in taking another yacht charter vacation in the future?

Absolutely!!!

If so, where?

We are totally open, but love the US and British Island.

If so, would you like to charter with the same yacht and crew?

It would definitely be something we would enjoy based on the number of people we got involved.

Do you have any suggestions for the boat to improve her as a charter yacht?

We would not change anything.  It was a great trip that we all have very fond memories.

Yacht: DRUMBEAT I             Charter Guests: THE PATTHOFF FAMILY ************************************************************************

Dear Broker,

My husband and I just returned with our children and grandchildren on board the Drumbeat I out of St. Thomas. We all agreed that it was a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The crew of Drumbeat, Vince, Susan, and Kirk, did everything to make our vacation memorable and fun. The boat was immaculately kept and comfortable, the food was delicious and plentiful, great breakfasts with lots of fresh fruit, hors d oeuvres at sunset, and gourmet meals. Vince was the perfect Captain and we had total confidence in his knowledge and experience. We told him what we wanted to do- hike, swim, snorkel, learn to water ski and scuba dive- and he fulfilled our every wish. He was a great teacher too, patient and encouraging.

All in all, we would recommend a trip to anyone looking for a great Caribbean vacation.

Sincerely,

Nancy and Charles

How did you enjoy your cruising vacation?

It was absolutely incredible!!

How would you describe your Captain and crew? Were they Courteous? Helpful? Friendly? Attentive? Knowledgeable?

Vince, Linda and Kirk were all wonderful. All three maintained a high level of professionalism throughout our trip, while still keeping the atmosphere casual and family-oriented. Vince is a wonderful captain, always ready to answer questions about sailing, and is an excellent teacher as well. He had everyone in our group (almost!) up on water skis by the end of the week, and his knowledge about the coral and marine life made SCUBA and snorkeling all the more interesting to us neophytes. Kirk seemed to have an invisible twin somewhere, as our rooms and clothes were cleaned and folded almost before they were dirty, but he seemed to pop up to ask ‘Anybody need anything? Drinks, maybe?’ before we even realized we were getting thirsty.

Tell me about your meals. Did the menus meet your expectations?

The meals far exceeded our expectations.  Linda is a wonderful chef, but she should not apply for a weight watchers cooking position any time in the future!! J There were always generous portions of food at each meal and everyone found something to eat that they liked. She did a great job providing a variety of meals as well—the menu over the week ranged from Mexican to Italian to Indian with a different main ingredient every day. We enjoyed trying new things (the conch fritters were a hit!) and old dishes prepared in new ways.

How is the yacht? Is she clean and well-maintained? Were your cabins comfortable?

The yacht was very clean and very well maintained. The cabins were quite comfortable, with adequate room for our belongings, and the air-conditioning was especially enjoyable to sleep in after a hot day in the sun. Kirk did a wonderful job making sure we had fresh sheets and towels as well.

How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your vacation?

Just right for a first-time sailing adventure. Every day the crew made sure to provide us with a new experience (SCUBA one day, snorkeling the next, skiing, kayaking, hiking at the Baths, beaches, etc!) without making the vacation seem too hurried or action-packed.

Would you charter this yacht again? If not, please explain.

Absolutely!

What can we do to improve our services?

Nothing!

May we use you as a reference?

Yes

"This was our 6th crewed charter vacation, and we thoroughly enjoyed it on board Drumbeat I. The Captain and crew were not only sensitive and accommodating to our every need but anticipated them! The yacht was kept meticulously clean and we found the food was the best we have ever had. It was also nice to experience a different itinerary around the BVI and Vince was very sensitive to our suggestions. We would most certainly charter with this crew again!" Charter Dates: March 30- April 6, 2000 Charter Guests: Kenneth Singer

"Dear [Broker]:

Georgianne and I recently returned from a week’s cruise with Vince and Linda Stracener aboard the Drumbeat I, and I wanted to tell you what a wonderful experience it was.

We were with the Rubenstein party, and there were as you know, eight of us. The entire crew, Vince, Linda, and Kirk did everything possible to make it a memorable experience, and they succeeded.

The Drumbeat was in superb condition, obviously well maintained with justifiable pride.

The service could not have been better. The meals were superb, and soon became one of the highlights of the trip. From that small kitchen, Linda created some of the most outstanding meals we have ever eaten. They had memorized the preference lists we had completed, and essentially every item requested was accommodated. The activities were varied, and well attended.

The only drawback to the trip is that our wives will, after this experience, never again be willing to accompany us on a bareboat charter.

In summary, the trip was simply outstanding, far exceeding our lofty expectations. Unfortunately, we could not convince Linda to relocate in Eugene and open a restaurant. We tried!

Congratulations and thank you very much for connecting us with them.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Singer

We've been back from our charter on Drumbeat I for three weeks now and nobody in the family can stop talking about what a wonderful time we had. Our crew, Captain Vince, Linda and Jake have got to be the finest in the Caribbean. The service was first class, food was extraordinary (especially given some of our unique menu requirements) and the course that Captain Vince selected provided the best of all the activities we requested in our pre-trip outline.

Sincerely,

John C. Csapo

Dear Vince & Linda

Today was the first day of school and I hated it! I had this burning desire to race out of the school yard and head for the Ft. Lauderdale airport and purchase five one-way tickets to St. Thomas. The kids didn’t seem to have a problem with that. Would you say the Csapos are suffering from island fever?

Shannon phoned several days after we got home and needless to say, I gave her an earful. I said the ship was great but the crew made the trip remarkable.

Again, thank you for a wonderful vacation. We miss the three of you and are really looking forward to next summer. If you come to Florida you have an open invitation to visit us anytime.

Fondly,

John, Mailan, Jenn, Katy & Joey
